“Damien loves to express judiciously the full and the emptiness that allows light to enter, reflect and deepen into the wideness and the reliefs.”

Damiano Tusillagine

Damiano Tusillagine, Italian artist graduated in ceramics, opens in 2003 his worshop « futuro d’arte » specialised in raku ceramics, offering courses and pieces for designers, and becomes director of the DDFinitions enterprise in Bascharange in Luxembourg. His studies in Gubbio and Faenz, his participation to numerous exhibitions and contests in Italy and abroad and the exchanges with great masters give birth to his cultural and technical aptitude and shape a man for the world.

His « trasforo » technique arises from the ceramic culture and his deepening into ceramic history. He also leads to high level the technique « del compendiario » in which the form brings out the polychrome decoration tending to « horror vacui ». Damien loves to express judiciously the full and the emptiness that allows light to enter, reflect and deepen into the wideness and the reliefs. His forms decorated with monochrome mirror all colours.
