Lex Besenius

 

Lex Besenius, born in Luxembourg in 1976, represents the 7th generation of blacksmiths in the Besenius family, known for her engagement in terms of creation and preservation of the Grand Ducal artisanal heritage. Lex studied first plastic expression at the artistic section of the Lycée des Arts et Métiers in Luxembourg. Before starting his career in the family business, he followed a course in illustration at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels.

Lex integrally learned his profession of blacksmith from his family and further completes it with different courses on technical improvements. Over the years, he has participated to various exhibitions in the names of the Besenius Art Ironwork but also as an individual.
