Lilian Mombach

Originally from Brazil, Lilian Mombach made her home in the Grand Duchy in 2021. After studying Fine Art in Brazil and working in art direction, she refocused her life on creative workshops and artistic production.

Her art consists of transforming paper into floral sculptures. She is particularly attached to the concept of upcycling and the narrative potential of paper. Her inspiration comes from nature, traditions, legends, myths and fantastic colours. She establishes links between the conscious and the unconscious, exploring the cycles of life and nature, while highlighting the transformation of paper in her creative process.

Lilian works mainly with simple materials such as paper, glue and thread. Coffee filters become petals, cut freehand and structured with thread to create new shapes. Her technique creates delicate, malleable and resistant flowers. Paper mache is used to add volume to her creations, while colour, which she applies with acrylic paint, adds a unique dimension to each sculpture, creating a singular artistic expression.
