“For her, glass represents the immateriality of breath, the elegant gesture that best conveys the richness and depth of the feelings they offer to share.”

Anne-Claude Jeitz

Anne-Claude Jeitz, born in Esch-sur-Alzette, active as an independent artist since 1987, and Alain Calliste, her spouse, autodidact, born in Willemstadt in France and Luxemburgish resident since 2011, work together the glass since 13 years in their respective workshops. Enhanced by numerous travels and meetings, AnneClaude has chosen since long the glass as the artistic support to offer and share her incisive, tender and generous eye on things and people. The two creators use with a perfect mastery the different techniques of the glass work, like the technique of spinning with which they create incredible organic structures, an aerial and transparent mesh, finely woven, pure moment of poetry. These sculptures looking like glass lace represent for them the immateriality of the breath, the elegant gesture that conveys the richness and deepness of feelings shared with us.

The technique of spun glass gives her the opportunity to express her emotions poetically. By working with a blowtorch, she wants to convey her passion and her reminder of the simple things in life. Since 2021, she has been perfecting her glassblowing technique with Jörg Hannowki.
