Lily Weisgerber-Peters

Lily Weisgerber-Peters, born in 1943 in Strassen, starts from the 70’s the profession of weaver in Luxembourg, Switzerland and Sweden. In 1982, she opens a workshop in Contern, where she creates fine hand weaved objects, commercial and decorative at the same time, in natural materials. Progress going on, weaving looms with electronic interface enter her workshop and, last year, the loom Jacquard TC2 from Digital Weaving Norway, unique in the region. Since a few years, her husband Pit Weisgerber joins her and together they create unique and sophisticated objects.

For many years, Lily has shared her passion with students as lecturer for Adults’ Education, Cepa, the Espace Créatique and divers educational institutions. She is member of the European Textile Network, Damask Weavers Network, of the Fédération Suisse des Tisserands Professionels and the Nordic Textile Network.
