Jean Feinen is born on December 18th 1962 in Luxembourg. After working in another field, he looks after a more creative profession and orientates towards carpentry. He follows an adult training, makes his apprenticeship as carpenter and obtains his master’s qualification in 1992.
In 1994, he sets up his own business creating the carpentry “Atelier Ligna”. The workshop is located in Contern and is composed of 7 collaborators. The main field of activity of the workshop is the creation of individual furniture and public as well as private interior designs. The focus is on the work of solid wood favouring indigene woods. The finish is made mostly with natural oils and waxes that enhance the beauty of wood.
