Yvette Gastauer-Claire

Yvette Gastauer-Claire, born in 1957 in Esch-sur-Alzette, studies at the Ecole des Arts et Métiers, Fine Arts section, in Luxembourg. She is an open student in the sculptor workshop of Camille Nocher. From 1980 to 1984, she is employed in the States Museums for the Restoration workshops.

Sculptor professor for adults, she also give art courses to visually impaired children at the Institut pour Deficients Visuels in Luxembourg. She works from her office in Shifflange.

Yvette acquires experience in the work of modelling, moulding and restoration of monumental pieces, working for the Historic sites and monuments, from a private workshop. Besides numerous public sculptures, she creates the face of the euro coins as well as various commemoratives pieces for the Grand Duke family.
