Schmit Martine

Luxembourger Martine Schmit has been running her creative studios in Luxembourg City for over 20 years. Each piece of jewellery is absolutely unique and she introduces her team to the marvellous world of gold- smithing. Her first course of study had her heading for a career in the world of finance. It was only after studying business management that Martine Schmit decided to make a fundamental change and take a different direction by training in an artistic, creative profession. She started learning jewellery making in Namur and perfected her skills in Pforzheim and in Bonn. In 2003 she obtained her Masters in jewellery-making in Luxembourg. Martine Schmit seeks creative inspiration at all moments. She draws on the beauty, simplicity and emotion of a gem to create an original piece of jewellery in a particular style which has characterised her creations since 1999. Her creations are natural and soft, light, enigmatic even, and both contemporary and classic in style. By opting for designer structural forms, her jewellery retains the history of its creation, and demonstrates that it has been handcrafted with the utmost care.
