For several years now, the association has been supporting education and promoting the passing on of skills by awarding grants that enable Luxembourgish artisans to discover and practise new techniques during residencies all over the world.

Each grant is intended to support a talented artisans living in Luxembourg who, as part of their ongoing professional development, wishes to refine their skills or undertake further or cross-disciplinary training in Luxembourg or abroad. The recipients are selected by a jury comprising leading figures from the world of arts and crafts, chosen by the association De Mains De Maîtres Luxembourg.
Sarah Meyers – Textile artist and ceramicist
Support for specialising in colour work on porcelain in China
Doris Becker – Ceramic artist
Residency at the JDZ-JCI Ceramic Institute in Jingdezhen, China, to experiment with textures and learn how to create larger-scale sculptures.
Anne-Claude Jeitz – Glass artist
Support for specialising in torch-blowing glass in Germany
Ellen Van Der Woude – Ceramicist artist
Support for specialising in the creation of larger-scale works in Quebec
In 2020, to support the arts and crafts sector in the wake of the Covid-19 lockdown, nine award winners received one-off production grants totalling over €2,000.
