Dany Prum was born in Luxembourg on 18 February 1965 where she continues to live and work. Throughout her career, Dany Prum has won several awards, including the prestigious Prix de la Jeune Peinture awarded by the Luxembourg Ministry of Culture in 1989. Since her debut in 1989, Dany Prum has explored a variety of artistic media, but her primary passion lies with painting. Her art is inspired by everyday life and the diversity of human beings. She particularly enjoys meeting people with different lifestyles and ways of thinking. In her artistic work, she captures the story of ordinary, unpredictable everyday people. Her artistic approach is characterised by authenticity, spontaneity and creativity, giving rise to lively works that celebrate the richness of the human experience. Dany Prum used the pyrography technique to create this series. The support for these works is the wood of the plane and cherry trees that were felled to make way for the tramway. Pyrography involves using a heated instrument to burn patterns and designs into the wood, creating unique and authentic works. Her work reflects her sensitivity to both the environment and art, offering an artistic perspective on important contemporary issues.
