Megha Goenka, born in India in 1977 and trained in interior design and decoration, has lived and worked in Leudelange since 2007. A committed artist, she gives voice to the universal concept of home through the medium of ceramics, striking a delicate balance between personal expression and collective memory. Her practice bridges traditional and contemporary techniques, including modelling, stamping, engraving, multiple firings, oxides, and pigments. While identity and belonging are her recurring themes in her work, it was her experience of Cyclone Fani in the Bay of Bengal in 2019—alongside other ecological and climatic disruptions—that inspired Touch Me Not, the work she presents for Nature singulière. The result is an immersive installation of marine forms and microorganisms in ceramic, pastel, and charcoal—illustrating the fragile beauty and complexity of life. Megha Goenka creates finely textured sculptures inspired by corals, diatoms, and the vegetation in her own garden. Arranged in a circle, the works invite viewers to contemplate them from all angles. Her creative process is deeply intuitive. Her art, both poetic and political, underscores the urgency of the present: vulnerability and responsibility.
