Biography

Anne Claude Jeitz, a glass artist based in Arsdorf, has cultivated a sensitive, introspective approach to glass over the past twenty-five years. Her practice is shaped by her background in industrial design and enriched by extensive travel. Drawing on emotion, landscapes traversed and encounters experienced, she creates vibrant, contemplative works that resonate with poetic depth. For Nature singulière, she presents a reflection inspired by the philosophy of Spinoza—desire as the driving force of existence. From this perspective, she explores the uniqueness of each being: their talents, their aspirations, and how they express themselves in the world. Here, glass becomes the medium for an inner journey—a dialogue between the self and the universe. Each piece—lachrymatory, sea urchin, egg, comet’s tail—crafted with decades of skill and quiet mastery, captures and transforms light, revealing fragments of the intimate nature unique to each of us. Without artifice, relying solely on the language of material and transparency, Anne Claude composes a body of work that is both poetic and universal. In her hands, the fragility of glass becomes a mirror of our own life paths—and of our delicate, vital connection to the living world.
