Alejandra Solar, born in Mexico City in 1975 and based in Luxembourg since 2009, is a contemporary jewellery artist. A graduate of the Massana School in Barcelona, she later obtained a master’s degree in visual arts from the Hochschule in Trier. Her work explores memory, matter, and territory. For Nature singulière, she presents Recuerdos, a set of brooches carved from agate, printed with tree-like im- ages, and set in silver. Each piece, shaped by hand, becomes a fragment of an inner landscape—a visual trace suspended between two worlds: her Mexican origins and her present life in Luxembourg. The printed images—bare branches, plant silhouettes—evoke winter forests, silent places where time seems to stand still. By revealing the natural inclusions in the stone, the artist makes the invisible visible—as if memory itself had crystallised within the material. The jewellery thus becomes an intimate space for projection—memories, stories, and emotions. Through this subtle alliance between nature, technique, and narration, Alejandra Solar offers a delicate yet powerful body of work—where each stone tells a story, at the crossroads between the mineral and the living.
