Since 2024, thanks to sponsorship of the Félix Chomé Foundation, in memory of Ms. Léonie Schuster-Strasser, and with the support of the Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts, the association has launched the Luxembourg Arts & Crafts Award.
The Luxembourg Arts & Crafts Award aims to support Luxembourg-based craft artists of all genders. Each year, it rewards one or more craft artists, enabling them to create an exceptional work that demonstrates a high level of savoir‑faire combined with a sensitive and innovative approach to materials.
The Award rewards a project in its conceptual phase in order to finance its production, rather than a completed work. It enables the winner to bring the project to life within a maximum of twelve months following the award ceremony.
This award recognizes one or more artists whose artistic craft projects stand out for their relevance, technical excellence, capacity for innovation, and deep connection to Luxembourg’s traditional skills and culture.
The Award will be presented to the winner(s) by the Luxembourg Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts during a ceremony in autumn 2026 or at another venue.
The finished piece will be displayed at the 2027 De Mains De Maîtres Biennial, together with the work of the 2025 winner.
Applications are reviewed by the De Mains De Maîtres Luxembourg committee before being submitted to a jury of experts that is duly constituted and renewed each year.
