Calliste & Jeitz Alain & Anne-Claude

Anne-Claude Jeitz, born in Esch-sur-Alzette, active as an independent artist since 1987, and Alain Calliste, her spouse, autodidact, born in Willemstadt in France and Luxemburgish resident since 2011, work together the glass since 13 years in their respective workshops. Enhanced by numerous travels and meetings, Anne-Claude has chosen since long the glass as the artistic support to offer and share her incisive, tender and generous eye on things and people. The two creators use with a perfect mastery the different techniques of the glass work, like the technique of spinning with which they create incredible organic structures, an aerial and transparent mesh, finely woven, pure moment of poetry. These sculptures looking like glass lace represent for them the immateriality of the breath, the elegant gesture that conveys the richness and deepness of feelings shared with us.
