Laura and Martine Feiereisen, founders of LAÔMA ATELIER, have been creating sculptural jewellery in small series since 2021, combining design, craftsmanship and environmental awareness. Each piece in their ethereal collection is carefully sculpted from recycled materials. Exploring the interaction between soft and hard, liquid and solid, wax and metal, they find poetry in form— drawing inspiration from the architecture of major cities: Paris, where they studied jewellery design and goldsmithing, and New York, where they took metalwork and jewellery classes at the Pratt Institute—alongside the organic structures of nature. For Nature singulière, they offer a triptych in recycled 935 silver— a necklace, ring and earrings—centred on the rose, a symbol of love that has become a standardised product of the floral industry. Their jewellery, hand-engraved and presented in a metal box inscribed with ‘cadeau empoisonné’ (“poisoned gift”), denounces the excesses of globalised production. The wax-sculpted forms incorporate thorns recovered from wild roses, cast using traditional techniques. With LAÔMA ATELIER, already featured at De Mains De Maîtres in 2023, jewellery becomes a manifesto.
