Maïté Schmit was born in Colombia and grew up in Luxembourg where she still lives. This is where she developed her passion for jewelry. She embarked on her path as a professional jeweler, studying traditional jewelry technics and the specific differences in jewelry according to the countries she lived in. Having gained extensive experience working in the high-end watchmaking industry (Patek Philippe, Rolex, Hublot, Chanel) and in different goldsmith studios, she has launched her very own brand «Maïté Jewelry» in 2018. Through her creations, she shares her universe, her identity. These pieces, that can be unique are created to accompany the wearer in his particularity as jewelry, ornament, and object of art.

This year, the artist creates various brass ornaments for men's bodies. Since 2018, Maïté has been making jewelry for men, but had never made ornaments before, a natural evolution of her art and a complex exercise that requires imaginative work to adapt to different personalities.
