Marc Hubert

Marc Hubert was trained at the Compagnons du Devoir du Tour de France, learning the community and human values of the Compagnonnage. After his apprenticeship, he worked on important sites in Paris such as the Pont Neuf or the Basilica Saint-Denis ... Inspired by travelling, he participated as a trainer in the conservation-restoration of the walls of Essaouira in Morocco. Marveled by the know-how, the precision and the aesthetics of the work of the Egyptian builders, Marc stayed in Egypt for several years and worked in the temple of Karnak.

In 2006, in the Pays de la Loire, he worked in ornamentation and sculpture and worked on the conservation and restoration of the former Cistercian Abbey of Bellebranche, ranked the most beautiful lodge in France in 2015. In 2016, he moved to Luxembourg with his Luxembourg companion and restorer of works of art, Elisabeth Koltz, who he met in Egypt. Together, they founded the Ateliers du Luxembourg, a platform for craftsmen and heritage.
