Mazzariol Mirella

Italian-born Mirella Mazzariol has lived in Luxembourg since 2004. Architect by profession, she started drawing in the 90s and began working with ceramics and textiles. She graduated in jewelry in 2018 and ceramics in 2023 from the Académie d'Arlon.

Her creative choices carry many symbolic values that reflect her interpretation of reality and communicate her roots and desire to be open to all forms of creativity and intellectual exchange.

Totem is created from prisms with irregular faces and pentagonal openings, figures with spiritual symbolism in various cultures around the world. Totem carries a message of kindness and acceptance: the only way for humanity to enrich itself and progress towards peace.

Colored in terra sigillata, the work refers to ancient methods of ceramic decoration, whose forms are inspired by the works of Brancusi and Giacometti.
